Our Glassblowers

In 2017, Marie and her family moved back to Denmark, but her connection to the Czech Republic and, in particular, the glassblowers remains strong. To this day, Marie visits the glassworks in the Czech Republic regularly, where she nurtures long standing relationships and develops new ideas and designs in close collaboration with the artisans.

The relationship with the glassblowers is at the heart of Kodanska. Without them, there would be no Kodanska. Marie therefore plans production and collections with great care, ensuring a steady workflow throughout the year rather than seasonal production alone.

Beyond this, she values the personal relationship with each individual glassblower and maintains an ongoing dialogue about production, challenges, and opportunities. This close collaboration ensures that the needs, skills, and craftsmanship of the artisans remain an important part of every decision.
